Request a Grant Writer

Award of $10,000 to a USA medical school faculty member to recognize major contributions in improving health and the quality of healthcare for a broad population of Americans. Eligible nominees must be able to demonstrate that their work has influenced public policy, improved the health of society, and helped redirect the medical profession and academic medical centers to experiment with a variety of educational and delivery modes to achieve important societal objectives.

Please note that nominees must be faculty at AAMC-member medical schools.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The nominee must be an individual who has a faculty appointment at an AAMC-member medical school, but rank is not a criterion for this award.

Pre-Application Information:

The review committee will select up to three finalists. Nominators of finalists will be notified by Feb. 28, 2020, that they are invited to submit letters of support.

Additional support materials must be submitted by April 3, 2020. There is no need to compile these letters before notification on Feb. 28.

The winner of the award will be notified by July 1, 2020, and honored at Learn Serve Lead 2020: The AAMC Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

Nominations may be made by any faculty or staff member of an AAMC-member medical school, teaching hospital, or academic society.
