Funding is intended for projects that support design and planning, acquisition, construction, and conducting of feasibility studies to increase access to aquatic facilities. Grants to Washington owners or managers of multifamily housing projects to provide additional rental units to eligible tenants. Funding is intended for non-elderly individuals with developmental disabilities, with mental illness, or receiving long-term services and supports. Projects proposed in Cowlitz, Kitsap, Pierce, Skagit, Snohomish, and Whatcom counties, currently underserved by 811 Project Rental Assistance (PRA) grants, will receive additional priority points during this funding round.

Consideration will be given to schools in underserved communities, whose students are most at risk for poor nutrition and childhood obesity.

Grants of $15,000 and in-kind support to USA indigenous artists to encourage professional artistic growth. Funding is intended to support artists that are in the early stages of their careers. Eligible disciplines include poetry and fiction writing, dance and choreography, video and film, music, multi-disciplinary arts, performance art, theater and screenplay writing, traditional arts, and 2D + 3D visual arts. Grants are open to members of American Indian tribes, Alaska Native corporations, and individuals of Native Hawaiian ancestry.

The purpose of funding is to encourage specialization in the fields of uveal melanoma biology, ophthalmology, ocular oncology, or related areas. Eligible studies must be translational or clinical.

Grants of $50,000 to USA, Canada, and International MDs, PhDs, and those with equivalent degrees for research regarding novel treatments for ocular/uveal melanoma. The purpose of the program is to use basic research to identify responsive druggable targets. Eligible uses of funds include salary and benefits, graduate students, or research assistants, supplies, and equipment.

Eligible projects address issues regarding the following topics: sustainable food systems, climate change mitigation, packaging sustainability, and regenerative agriculture. The fellowships are intended to support a range of projects and activities that display outstanding analytics and high-level writing skills.

Award of $2,000 to a USA audiologist or speech-language pathologist to recognize outstanding accomplishments. Funding will be awarded for outstanding service in PreK-12 schools. Applicants should demonstrate how their activities have had a positive and significant impact in their field within a school setting.

Award to a USA, Canada, or International individual to recognize outstanding contributions to communication sciences. The purpose of this program is to honor an individual who has enhanced the quality of clinical care in speech-language pathology and/or audiology. The lifetime contribution may have been in clinical service, supervision or administration of clinical service, clinical research, or any other activity that has promoted clinical excellence. The Frank R. Kleffner Lifetime Clinical Career Award recognizes an individual’s outstanding contributions to communication sciences and disorders over a period of at least 20 years.

Scholarships of $1,000 to USA, Canada, and International psychology doctoral students to support travel expenses related to internships. Funding is intended to assist students in relocating from the site of their graduate program to the location of their selected predoctoral internship. Applicants must be graduate students currently enrolled in good standing in a psychology doctoral program that is accredited by the American Psychological Association’s Commission on Accreditation (COA) or the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA).

Fellowships to USA journalists to research health inequities affecting families across the nation. This opportunity is meant to allow journalists to take time away from their newsrooms and deep-dive into the issues of health inequities, systemic racism, and their impact on families and communities.

Grants of up to $25,000 to USA, Canada, and International qualifying nonprofit, for-profit, and other fact-checking organizations to support work that addresses the harm of misinformation in journalism. Funding is intended to increase organizational capacity by supporting technical, material, and/or operational needs. Funds may be used for website development, staff salaries, professional development, cyber security, and other related purposes.

Grants to USA nonprofit organizations, schools, and school districts to develop policies on students' phone use in school. Funding is intended for solutions that will assist teachers, school administrators, and youth from pre-teen through age 19 to navigate the complicated scenarios that face young people today. Grant recipients will embark on a five-month program.

Grants of up to $30,000 to USA nonprofit organizations and educational institutions to establish, expand, or maintain Japanese language education programs. Applicants must contact program staff prior to submitting an application. Funding is intended to cover expenditures related to the salary and benefits of full-time and part-time instructors of the Japanese language.

Grants to USA, Canada, and International organizations and individuals for projects that promote social justice and equality. Applicants are required to complete an eligibility quiz prior to submitting a grant application. The purpose of this program is to address inequality through feature-length documentary films. Grant funds will be distributed in the focus areas of social justice, innovation, and intersectional perspectives.

Grants to Idaho and Washington nonprofit organizations and individuals to address critical needs in eligible counties. Focus areas include community service, education and youth, environment, and emergency energy assistance. Individuals and families with documented critical needs may request funds particularly related to health care and self-sufficiency. Funds must benefit Spokane County in Washington or Kootenai, Bonner, or Benewah County in Idaho.

Grants to USA and Canada researchers at nonprofit institutions and organizations to research cures and treatments for childhood cancers. The purpose of this program is to support late-translational studies. Preference will be given to research projects that will likely result in the initiation of a clinical trial in two to three years from the start of the project, by, for example, completing IND-enabling studies, providing requisite preclinical data for clinical trial development, or perhaps through the validation of biomarkers that will enable selection of the correct patients for entry into new clinical trials.

Grants of up to $20,000 to USA, Canada, and International researchers affiliated with nonprofit research institutions to generate data related to SATB2-associated syndrome (SAS). Funding is intended for research addressing SAS as it pertains to sleep, behavior, speech and language, and global developmental delays.

Grants to Washington nonprofit organizations and tribal governments to provide services to residents who are facing a housing crisis. Funding is intended to support culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and low-barrier programs and services that assist individuals and families who are experiencing, or are at risk of, homelessness. Priority will be given to communities that have a demonstrated disproportionate representation in homelessness, housing instability, and housing affordability.

Grants of up to $2,500 to USA young adults who are cancer survivors for assistance with fertility and other family expenses. Funding is intended to assist cancer survivors in building their families through adoption, fertility treatments, or surrogacy. Applicants must have a clear plan of action before applying.

Fellowships to USA, Canada, and International early career researchers at IHEs and research organizations to investigate the impact of AI on scientific research. Funding is intended for projects to help understand the impact that AI has already had and continues to have on the scientific research landscape.

Grants to Washington nonprofit organizations for programs and projects that serve local residents and address critical needs of the community in eligible locations. Funding is intended to support local charities and benefit children and families. Grants must benefit residents in the Lakewood community.

Funding is intended for facilities that do not require renovations, facilities that do require some upgrades, and properties that require rehabilitation. Eligible residency types include basic shelters, youth housing, permanent housing, transitional housing, permanent supportive housing, and enhanced emergency shelters.

Opportunity for USA and territories, Israel, Canada, and International filmmakers to participate in a unique mentorship program. Nonfiction filmmakers will take part in an immersive retreat with mentors, providing filmmakers with an opportunity to screen their projects and receive constructive feedback. Eligible film projects must be in the rough cut stage by the summer of 2025, and filmmakers must be able to attend the retreat in person. Five feature films will be chosen to participate.

Grants of up to $6,000 and in-kind support to USA and Canada small nonprofit organizations for programs that address issues related to the well-being of women and children. Funding is intended for organizations that have a mission of enhancing the financial and emotional well-being of women and children. Eligible applicants have an annual budget between $25,000 and $1,000,000.

Grants to Oregon and Washington nonprofit organizations, agencies, schools, IHEs, school systems, Indian tribal entities, and community-based organizations for K-12 environmental education programs. Applicants must complete required registrations prior to submitting an application. For Pacific Northwest B-WET, applicants may be physically located in any U.S. state; however, education projects must target teachers and/or students in the Pacific Northwest region, defined as Oregon and Washington.

Grants of up to $50,000 to USA and territories nonprofit cultural, academic, and research institutions, government agencies, and tribes to preserve significant audio and video media resources. Funding is intended to support the digital reformatting of media that is fragile, obsolete, time-based, and of scholarly value. Preservation services must be performed by qualified external service providers.

Grants to USA and territories IHEs, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and agencies for behavioral health programming in rural communities. Applicants are advised that required registrations may take several weeks to complete. Funding is intended for a variety of programs that will improve rural behavioral health care.

Opportunity for USA early-career public health leaders to participate in an accelerator to improve their leadership skills and capacity. This program is meant to prepare emerging leaders to take on managerial and executive roles in the public health workforce, and to have the skills to recruit and train the necessary future workforce.

Fellowships to USA researchers, authors, historians, graduate students, and journalists to conduct research on women's history. Funding is intended to cover the time and travel costs involved in conducting and publishing research. The fellowships will include financial support, research training, and in-person research opportunities at the National Archives.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International young adults to participate in a fellowship program to address climate change concerns. The program is offered to adults between the ages of 18 and 24 who are not in school and are interested in dedicating two years to pursuing climate change solutions.

Opportunity for USA, Canada, and International individuals and teams of small businesses and academic organizations to participate in a challenge related to protecting undersea infrastructure. Funding is intended for the development of technological solutions to monitor and protect undersea critical infrastructure.

Scholarship for USA library school students to attend a conference. The scholarship is intended for students currently attending a qualified information studies degree-granting program and for new professionals. The awardee will also receive a membership to a professional association. Funding will provide for conference registration, transportation, housing, and a stipend.

In-kind donations of books to USA, Canada, and International youth-serving agencies and institutions to encourage reading among children and youth. The program is intended to provide books produced by African American authors and illustrators to build organizational libraries and bring books into the lives of children.

Grants of $750 to USA, Canada, and International K-12 teachers, community college faculty members, and community college students to support participation in the earth science disciplines. Awards will be made to educators and students in support of the following activities:

Award of $1,000 to a USA media exhibit, written work, or public program for an outstanding project that has enhanced public appreciation of North American West history. The prize is awarded to projects that contribute to a broader public reflection and appreciation of the past or serve as a model of professional public history practice in the history of the North American West.

Grants to USA middle schools for after-school athletics programming serving students in grades 6-8. Funding is intended for the acquisition of sports equipment, safety equipment, and uniforms. The goal of the funding source is to help as many programs and schools as possible.

Awards of $10,000 to USA and Canada youth, ages 8 to 18 years, to recognize outstanding contributions to their communities, the environment, and society. Awards are intended for recipients to continue their public service activity or may be applied to higher education costs.
