Request a Grant Writer

Grants of up to $7,500 to Washington Jewish nonprofit organizations for new, one-time, or pilot projects that serve the Jewish community in eligible locations. Funding is intended to promote projects and activities that respond to the changing and ongoing needs of the residents of Puget Sound. Nonprofit arts and culture organizations in King or South Snohomish counties with a “Jewish-themed” project may also apply.

During the FY 2022 grants cycle, proposals that address at least one of the following issues will receive priority:

  • Outreach to unconnected/unaffiliated members of the Jewish community
  • Outreach to Jews of Color
  • Projects that have a racial justice component
  • Projects that address refugee relief

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grants are capped at $7,500.

Term of Contract:

The programs/projects for which your organization is submitting a proposal cannot begin before January 1, 2022.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Proposals are open to any Jewish organization in Western Washington that is a 501(c)(3), fiscally sponsored, or is presumed to be according to IRS regulations (e.g. synagogues).

Nonprofit arts and culture organizations in King or South Snohomish counties with a “Jewish-themed” project may also apply.

Projects that include collaborative efforts between two or more organizations are of particular interest to the SIF Committee.

Programs that are a part of the organization’s current or past operating budgets are not permitted.

Pre-Application Information:

Review Deadline: Proposals submitted by 5 pm on Friday, October 29, 2021, will be reviewed for completeness, providing applicants a chance to complete the proposal by the final deadline.

Final Deadline: Proposals are due by 5 pm on Friday, November 5, 2021. Sorry, no extensions.

Proposals must be submitted in their entirety. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

Organizations may submit no more than two (2) applications.
