In-kind grants of computer software to USA educational institutions working with students who have special needs. The grant includes a one-year subscription to a cloud-based platform designed for teaching and strengthening social skills of students in the Special Education stream. The program helps students develop meaningful relationships and successfully navigate our social world.

The Social Express aligns with the Universal Design of Learning (UDL) by offering several different types of learning methods including online and offline activities. Maybe used on a PC/MAC, Chromebook or iPad app. Each Webisode teach foundational skills for social and emotional learning such as:

  • Attentive Listening
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Conversations
  • Critical Thinking
  • Group Participation
  • Non-Verbal Communication
  • Relationship & Self Management

Estimated Size of Grant:

The SPED-Tech Grant 2020 includes a Full Site License for unlimited usage and support for The Social Express Program for a full school year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

This grant is open to any learning institution working with special needs students who would benefit from a tool that helps students explore the paradigms of social interactions with their peers.

Pre-Application Information:

Complete and submit the application below by March 17th, 2020.

Winners will be notified before March 30th, 2020. To allow winners to start using The Social Express, access to the program will be given as soon as the notifications are sent.
