Grants of up to $10,000 to Washington small businesses in eligible locations to mitigate the financial impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Funding is intended for business with a maximum of 50 full-time employees. Preference will be given to businesses with a maximum of 25 full-time employees. Businesses must be located in Grays Harbor County.

Expenses funded by this grant must be associated with the provision of economic support in connection with the COVID-19 public health emergency, such as:

  • Expenditures related to the provision of grants to small businesses to reimburse the costs of business interruption caused by required closures. 

3-Tiered Ranking System:

Define what tier the business is using the below ranking system. 

  • Tier 1 - The business was closed during Phase 1 of the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order AND is located in Grays Harbor.
  • Tier 2 - The business was partially opened during Phase 1 of the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order.
  • Tier 3 - The business has remained open during Phase 1 of the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, but still incurred financial loss during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

For grant eligibility, the business owner agrees to all of the following:
1. As of January 1, 2020, the owner has operated a small business in Grays Harbor County.
2. The business employs a maximum of fifty (50) fulltime staff, and the owner recognizes that similar businesses with a maximum of twenty-five (25) full-time staff will receive eligibility preference.
3. The business will provide IRS Form W-9 and any other pertinent financial information to the county for the processing of the COVID-19 grant contract.

Pre-Application Information:

The deadline for application submittals are as follows:
- First Funding Cycle: July 6, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
- Second Funding Cycle: July 20, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
- Third Funding Cycle: August 3, 2020 at 12:00 p.m.
